K-Stage! Move - Dance competition

K-Stage! Move in collaboration with: Etna Comics & Umami Haus

It’s time to put your K-Pop dance skills to the test again!

The K-Stage! Move Contest will take place on the Saturday of the convention and will be held on the main stage in the main hall. We’re looking for dancers who live and breathe Korean music and style and want to show off their dance skills.

In addition to great prizes, the winners can look forward to a huge surprise:
Group Winners: Qualification for a Europe-wide K-Pop Championship!! – Etna Comics
Solo Winner: A voucher for an economy-class round-trip flight from Vienna to Korea – sponsored by Umami Haus

You’ll find everything you need to know about registration, prices, the championship, the flight to Korea, the schedule, and other interesting facts below.

Individual and group dances are judged and awarded separately.

Procedure

First, a preliminary selection will be made based on video submissions.
Fifteen finalists (individuals or teams) will be selected for the finals at Yunicon.
The 15 finalists will perform on the main stage in front of the audience and the judges.
The winners will be announced at the Yunicon award ceremony (see program schedule) and the prizes will be presented there.
The first-place team (group) automatically qualifies for the Europe-wide championship at Comiccon in Naples, Italy! See below for more details.
The first-place winner (solo) will receive a voucher for an economy-class round-trip flight from Vienna to Korea. See below for more details.

Registration

Fill out the form below by October 2, 2026! Your registration is not valid until you have filled out all the information, submitted the audio file, and received a confirmation from the K-Stage! Move staff.

All dancers and faces must always be visible. This means that the video must not be filmed too dark and not too close
The maximum length of 5 minutes must not be exceeded
The video must be of the choreography you performed at the competition.

Conditions of participation & song selection

There are no restrictions on participation (age, origin, gender, etc.)
Admission to the convention is limited to holders of a valid Yunicon Saturday ticket or Conticket.
Medleys and intros are allowed.
Total performance length: 5 minutes maximum.
Only Korean songs are allowed (no versions in other languages, no English songs by K-pop artists (example: “Money” by Lisa)).
Only original choreographies are allowed. If the original song contains improvised passages, it is, of course, permitted to improvise during those measures as well.
Acrobatics and other stunts must be reported in advance when registering.
Safety pants must be worn under skirts and dresses!
No costs will be reimbursed in connection with this event. If the convention is canceled, the refund of the admission ticket must be clarified directly with Yunicon.
XG is allowed for intros.
Like other program items at Yunicon, K-Stage! Move and uploaded the individual performances to YouTube. Individual clips may be used by Yunicon for advertising purposes. By registering for the competition, you agree to these conditions.

Comicon in Naples:

Please read the information below carefully!

ComiCon in Naples, Italy, is one of Italy’s largest comic book events and has been held annually since the 1990s. Now, a major K-pop contest is being added to the lineup, featuring winners from preliminary rounds in various European countries who will compete for the title and determine who is the true K-pop Dance Champion of the Year. This makes our contest an incredibly exciting opportunity that no one should miss!

Solo winners cannot qualify for Comiccon Napoli, as this is a requirement of the event.

The preliminary round for Austria will be held directly at Yunicon. Travel expenses related to the competition in Italy will be covered by Yunicon. For this reason, only groups with a maximum of 7 members can qualify for Comiccon Napoli! Groups with more members are not excluded from participating in K-Stage! Move, but they cannot qualify for Comiccon Napoli. If a group with more than 7 members wins, the next-ranked group with 7 or fewer members among the top 3 will qualify for Comiccon Napoli.

Only individuals who are residents of Austria or Austrian citizens are eligible to participate.

Flight to Korea:

The Solo winner will receive a voucher for an economy-class round-trip flight ticket from Vienna to Korea.
Airport taxes, fees, and any fuel surcharges are the responsibility of the winner.
Please note that certain blackout dates (embargo dates) apply to the redemption of the ticket. The ticket cannot be used during these periods. You can find the relevant dates in the list below:

June 25, 2027 – July 5, 2027
Dec. 15, 2027 – Dec. 31, 2027
The maximum length of stay is 1 month.
The requested travel dates can be confirmed, subject to availability. If the requested dates are no longer available, an alternative date will be offered.
The gift certificate cannot be redeemed for cash.
The sponsor of the airline ticket reserves the right to make changes to the terms and conditions at any time.
Only individuals who are residents of Austria or Austrian citizens are eligible to participate.
Groups are not eligible; the prize is for the individual winner.

Jury & Evaluation

The jury will consist of three people (for data protection reasons, their identities will not be disclosed in advance).
Scoring is based on points. These are awarded for dance performance (power, accuracy of steps, synchrony), charisma (“facial expressions”), and overall performance.
Placings or points will not be announced.

Keep in mind that this isn’t just a dance competition—with K-pop, there’s always so much more that goes into the overall performance! We’re not looking for those who can replicate the choreography best, but rather those who can best present their song.
