Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Tournament

Smash and more at Yunicon!

Smash will once again be part of Yunicon this year. We’ll be hosting several Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournaments and events throughout the convention! We’ll also be offering a Pokémon Champions tournament for all convention attendees!

€700 prize pool:

A total of 700€ in prize money will be awarded at the professional tournaments (advance registration required).

As usual, the focus will be on the big Super Smash Bros. Ultimate tournament on Saturday, where players will compete for up to €500 in prize money!

Three days of esports action in the heart of Yunicon:

To ensure you can perform at your best during the tournaments, matches will be played on 24-inch gaming monitors provided by eSports Graz. In addition, some monitors will be available for matches outside of the tournament schedule.

In addition to the tournaments, there will be game stations set up for Nintendo classics and other retro games!

Smash Tournament Format and Rules:

Depending on the number of registrants, the preliminary rounds will be held using either a double-elimination or Swiss system. The final rounds will be held using a double-elimination system.
The matches will be played as best-of-five sets.
The rules of the DACH ruleset apply (see diagram)
Please bring your own controllers.
Please use your own headphones. Audio splitters are available upon request.
