What fascinates us most about stories is when written words stir our emotions, when something makes us FEEL.
Of course, the erotic element is always an option for us, but especially at the Halloween convention “Yunicon,” other aspects of 18+ content can also take center stage.
This year’s theme is “Loss,” and it’s meant to inspire you to create works that might even bring a tear to your eye.
You can upload your story to our collection on Ao3 this year so that visitors will still be able to find it easily even after the convention is over.
If you don’t want to use the Collection:
Send us your submission via email—preferably as a Google Doc or an Ellipsus link—with the subject line“Yunicon 2026 18+ Fanfiction – [ your pen name]” to 18+@hayuko.at
Please make sure your post includes the following information:
- Your name/artist name
- Your age
- Names of the characters and which fandom they come from
- A short summary and/or “tags” (keywords) for your story and, if necessary, content and trigger warnings
Please also note the following general conditions:
- The text must be 18+, meaning it should contain clearly recognizable sexual acts, horror content, or other adult-only themes.
- The minimum is 2k (two thousand) words; please keep it to a maximum of 5k (five thousand).
- Make sure that you do not break any applicable Austrian law, we assume no liability or responsibility.
- Each participant must be at least 18 years old and must be present at the Yunicon awards ceremony on Sunday, November 1, 2026, in order to accept any prize they may win.
- Each participant may submit one (1) entry that has been newly written for this contest.
- You can write the whole thing in either German or English.
- AI-generated stories are not permitted.
- By participating, you agree to have your story printed once and displayed at Yunicon; after that, you can do whatever you want with your story.
- The deadline for submissions is October 18, 2026.
Prizes include medals and goodie bags, as well as an exclusive Yunicon 2026 trophy for the audience favorite!
